TWRA Committee Members
The Westcroft Resident's Association has been running for just under two years and in line with the rules of the constitution, we are holding our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 19th March 2008. During this meeting, all committee members will stand down from their current positions and a new committee will be elected by those residents present.
Details of the positions to be filled are detailed below, if you would like to nominate yourself for a position, please send a mail to secretary@twra.co.uk detailing which position you would like to apply for, how you feel you would benefit the Association in this role and a number you can be contacted on.
Closing Date: Tuesday, 18th March.
The election for each potision will take place on the evening of the meeting and the winners will be announced at the end of the meeting.
Please note: To become a committee member, you must be a current resident in Westcroft.
Chairperson
Duties:-
• Conduct the meetings of the Association (in his/her absence, the Vice-chairperson or other Committee member) both public and committee
• Agree and manage the Agenda for each meeting
• Ensure that agreed actions are acted upon in a timely manner
Treasurer
Duties:-
• Open and maintain a banking account or accounts in the name of the Association
• Ensure that all cheques shall be signed by any two of the three authorised signatories, one of whom shall be the Treasurer and who shall be nominated by the Committee
• Keep proper accounts of income and expenditure and report on them or deliver them up as required by the membership of the Annual General Meeting. Such accounts shall be audited by a qualified accountant or a non-member of the Association appointed by the membership of the Annual General Meeting
Secretary/Vice Chairperson
Duties:-
• Responsible for the convening of all meetings and the giving of the prescribed notice to members
• He/she shall ensure that a proper record is kept of all meetings of the Association, its Committee and sub-committees, in the form of minutes, and shall deliver up such records as required by the Committee or General Meeting
• The Secretary shall permit the minutes to be examined of receipt of not less than 7 days notice by any 2 members of the Association
• Cover the role of Chairperson in the Chairpersons absence
